Lower Ball Joints, Special Tools?

Do I need to use a special tool to press these in or will a C-clamp work? What do you guys typically use to do this yourself? We have safety inspections here in Missouri and I can't register my truck until I get them replaced. Any suggestions will be helpful, thanks.

you need a lower ball joint service set, Looks like a massive C-clamp with several cups. Just go to summitracing.com and look up part number WMR-W89304. I happened to have my receipt for it here on the desk from when I ordered mine.

I used a BFH to remove them and used the trucks own weight to press them back in.

You can give them a Rat ta tat tat with the air hammer and a blunt tool. But it is a lot easier with a ball joint press. http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/36...ght=ball+joint
