Changed my mind...lowered to lifted.

If anyone is interested, I have a 2003 2wd Supercrew that has gone through some transformation. I have always had 4wd's that I lifted, but the last couple of times, I just didn't need 4wd. So, when I bought my 03 new, I thought I would by a 2wd and give lowering a shot (Because I just can't roll stock!). Initally, I put on 20" wheels and just lowered the back 2" with shackles to level it, but I wasn't diggin that. So, this past spring I lowered it with a Bell Tech 2/4 kit and airlift "slam air" airbags. Once I lowered it, it looked nice and I thought I would give it a shot. The shot didn't last very long.... Well, I missed the days of my lifted trucks, so I pulled the lowering kit out and installed a Rough Country 3" spindle lift and 2" blocks two days ago. (I know there has been some discussion on R/C kits, but the quality of the spindles and blocks were acually pretty good. I haven't roadtested the shocks yet.) Taking out the lowering kit and putting in the lift kit wasn't too bad of a process. I did it by myself over two half days (about 9-10 hours total). I am so stoked about the lift now. Here are somes pics of before and after..

I still need to go get an alignment and new tires/wheels (Monday) I have a question and seeking pics and suggestions...Does anyone have 20" with 33" diameter off road tires? I find plenty of 20" on 35-37's, and that looks good. I'm leaning towards 285/75/16 on 16x8 wheels. Any suggestions or comments would be appreiciated.

Thanks all, Tom

I think the 16x8's and 33's would be the best combo.

So, I went with 16x8's and 285/75/16 Nitto TG's. What do you think?

Looked better lowered to me, but it's your truck and you wanted it lifted. That's what counts.
