Leveling Kit and Alignment

Leveling Kit and Alignment

So I just had a new 2.5" Daystar leveling kit installed on my 2004 F150. Went to the local tire shop and asked them to align my front end. He said he couldn't do it because of the leveling kit. Any reasons for this?

Go to another place. They should have no isses with aligning it even with the leveling kit. The shop that did my install also did the alignment at the same time.

Yeah, because the alignment guy is incomptent. Everyone who has a leveling kit gets an alignment.

Why wasn't your alignment done by the shop that sold & installed your leveling kit?

I installed my leveling kit on Saturday and had the truck aligned on Sunday. The shop you went to is either not up to date or don't want the business. Either way, it's good for you. Move on and never go to that shop again. Do an Internet search and find the newest alignment shop to you and go there. I recommend www.NTB.com. I bought their 5 year warranty alignment for $179 and I'm in my third year. I take my vehicle in every 3 months whether it needs it or not.

Hello,I have a question for you ,I see you have change your tiers from factory.Have you or do have a wheel nibble in your steering wheel .Ihave this problem with my 04 ,which is a back and forth moving of the steering wheel at speeds over 110 .I have had the one ball joint change ,the drive shaft rotated 180 degrees a new rack along with new tiers road forced balanced .Any info would help later smittydoes

The shop that installed my Daystar kit over 2 yrs. ago aligned my truck with the stock tires on and it's was light year's better than the Ford dealer ever could without the leveling kit. I had it re-checked when I put my wheels and 35's on and it's held alignment and track's better than my stock wheels and tires with the stock suspension. I guess you just have to find a competent technican.
