Rear Blocks Even Necessary?

So I'm finally getting ready to get the AS 2.5 leveling kit w/ 3" blocks for the rear put in. So a guy I talked to at a local 4x4 shop asked me why I have blocks. He says my rake will be WAY off if I get the blocks PLUS the front spacers put in.

Honestly, I'm no expert here so I explained to him that in some instances, I've heard that putting the spacers on in the front, can leave the tail end a hair lower then level, and the blocks are to compensate.

So, this may be a n00b question, but the 3" blocks are to replace the stock blocks, correct?

Oh yea, almost forgot, he asked me if I was replacing the shocks in the front and back as well. I don't recall reading anywhere that this was necessary, based on clearance or if the stock shock will now be too short.

Is this guy yanking my chain on this part?

Right, the 3 inch blocks would be used to replace the oem 2 inch block, give you one inch of lift out back.
Also, you don't need to replace the shocks, front or rear.
