How do i crank the torsion bars for my clearance?

My x-gf had her step dad crank the t-bars on her truck and it gave her more clearance on her truck to run bigger tires, how do i go about doing that.
i have an 89 f150 4x4

I forgot to mention, I think Daystar makes coilspring spacers for your truck to give you an inch or so of lift.

Just get a suspension lift. They are really cheap on the older models.
