9" lift, what size tire and gear ratio?
planning to do a 6" suspension lift and a 3" body lift on my 2wd, 07 f150. would a 37x12.5 tire be a good size? what gear to go with it? would i be able to run this size tire on the stock wheel? bfg makes a nice all terrain tire thats 37x12.5r17, any fitment issues? just trying to avoid spending big bux on a new wheels if i dont NEED them

well heres what i think, i dont really see the point in lifting a 2wd truck, but thats your truck. your obviously not going to take it off road so gears, you would need somethin low enough that it wouldnt strain your tranny. i would think that 4.88's would do the trick and as far as tires, if your gonna lift something that high and put tires on somethin like that, i would at least make sure that it had some aggressive tires, **** Cepek, Interco(trxus mt's), mickey thompson, all make a good all terrain and they have a little aggression to them.
make sure that the 3'' body is what you want on that 6" susp. cuz i know alot of people who complain about the body swaying going into turns

i was thinking 12.5 was too skinny but thought id post and get some opinions. anyone have pics of a 6" suspension lift with 3" body lift?
if there was no point in lifting a 2wd truck, nobody would make a kit for it. you can still fly through fields and over pitted roads in 2wd easily. if i wanted to do hardcore off roading i would not have bought a brand new truck. imo its retarded to take a brand new truck and beat it to death in some rock pit.
75% of the people who lift their trucks go off roading maybe once or twice a month. besides looking bada$$, its almost like a status symbol.
4.88 huh? what is the stock ratio? i dont need to fly down the freeway at 120mph so id like to have a slightly lower final gear ratio then stock just to help with bottom end torque.

so many people say that there is no point in lifting a 2wd i think thats crap! most of the guys on here with the nices 4x4 lifted truck have never even put there truck in 4x4... so there was no point in lifting that either right? lift your truck every thing looks better lifted and you will look like a getto idiot if you lower it. IMO!!!!!!!
if you dont tow offten and drive a lot on the highway get 4.56's. if you tow alot and do alot of city driving get 4.88's.
your truck right now either has 3.73's of 3.55s

i love your truck. seen it in your sig while crusing the forum. hope mine looks that good (minus the huge wheels).
ok, ill price 13.5 and probably 14" when i start shopping
as far as the 2.5" AS goes, i was planning on it. for the rear im thinking 5" block with 2" AAL. we'll see tho, let the place thats installing it pick out whats needed. then just slap a 3" BL on it and be done.
bud, im in anaheim, mile south of knott's berry farm
im hoping to have the money by febuary to do all the work. would like to spend under $5k but we'll see what happens. when i get the money is up to my dog lol. im breeding my great dane next time she goes into heat (dec. or jan.) and when the puppies sell, thats my lift money.
