PRoblem with wheel hubs on 4wd 2004 F-350

I have this weird intermittent roaring sound and it feels like I'm driving over a rumble strip. I think it is going from the front hubs.

It could also be the trannie. Does it normally happen at highway speeds when you give it a little gas? If so it is probably the trannie.
