3 in body lift and leveling kit. need your opinion!
Alright guys, after looking at different options that fit my situation, I think I have come up with setup for my 05 F150 FX4 Supercab.
I love the look of the 6in suspension lift and 35s but I will not be doing anything with my truck but light offroading and I don't want to run the risk of voiding my warranty. It's my impression that suspension lifts are more for performance and body lifts are more for the look.
My idea is to put a 2.5 in leveling kit and a 3in. body lift on my truck. giving me 5.5 inches in the front and 3in in the back, allowing me to fit some 35 in. tires on aftermarket 18x9 inch rims. This would give me a similar stance to a truck with a 6" suspension lift and 35s (please correct me if I'm wrong), but doing it in a more affordable way.
Please let me know if this would be the right route to go with for me, or if there are any more things I need to know.
Thanks,
Aaron

This is the same setup i have and the same reasoning. I got my body lift installed for a grand. The leveling kit and add a leaf were 200 together, dont pay someone to install its so easy. The only thing i can say is that i rub at full crank with stock rims. Using aftermarket with a backspacing much less than 5.5" could cause more rubbing. Jesse101's rims are the same specs as stock so don't go by that. You should definitely be fine but keep your rim's backspacing as close as possible to 5.5".

3" bodylift 3" level and 2" blocks and running 33's...looks good but I wouldn't go w/a 3" level if you aren't going to replace the upper arms (i got a 2x4). Eventually I'm going to get camburg's uniball upper a arms. I've had my truck like this since July, and one of the tie rod bushings is torn already..w/a 2.5 level kit on a 4x4 u should be good though!
