Talking Broken Axle Stud (Updated)

Well after a very long weekend of being pissed off. I wasnt getting anywhere with talking to the service department at the ford dealership that did the work on my truck and snapped the axle stud. So over the weekend I thought, why not go to the owner of this dealership. I called him around 9 this morning, talked to him for about half an hour about who should cover this. At first he was telling me it should be on the customer. After I told him about the circumstances, he wanted to get the invoice and talk to the tech and the service advisor. It was about 3:45 and was thinking he was just blowing me off, I recieved a phone call telling me that it was rediculous for me to have been charged for his service techs mistake and they would cut me a check for the extra charges and would have it mailed out tomorrow. I feel alot better about going back to this dealership and getting work done, but we will see what next time brings. Im a happy person again

yea lol i was very shocked but I guess they thought it was better to take the loss of the service than take the loss of a loyal customer. My family has bought our vehicles there since 95 and 7 of those vehicles have been since 2000.

It's very uncommon, but it's good to see a post about GOOD customer service.

Good customer service would have been no charge to begin with. A wheel stud....................geez. Lose a cusromer over that ?

Rarely will the owner not see the logic in doing things the right way. The unfortunate part is how tough it can be to get that person. Congrats!
