Check out this shock hoop on a 05 F150

How the hell is this done? Totally custom or is this jimmy rigged up? what would he be connecting that fox shock to on the LCA?? What you guys think, i am puzzled. never seen this before on a newer 150. Looks pretty trick though.

IDK man thats hokey, why would you run a good fox outside a fabtech? I mean unless they know what they are doing that truck must ride like crap. They would have to take all the valving out of the fabtech shock so that it is just a coil carrier and then valve the fox to do the dampining other wise that frontend will ride like crap. While were on that too why would they spend the money on that set up (second shock) then use a crap fabtech, I couldnt even find anyone to valve my fabtechs when I had them so my money is on they left the fabtech alone and now have a crap riding front end. Looking back at the pics I doubt it even cycles right the stock shock is leaned back for a reason the arc of the lower arm, mounting the shock stright up and down will more then likely put a major side load on the shock at full bump. Ill pass I would spend my money on adding a rezzy to the stock fabtech (just get teh stock parts from SAW for a rezzy) and getting it valved better.

i donno how bad the ride really is... chevys run dual foxs or kings all the time im sure that set up is more for looks than anything. i still think its cool. and it's not that expensive of a mod foxs shocks are pretty cheap.

the guy who did that setup looks like he knows what he is doing too. its even got bump stops for the upper A's.

no but why would that make a differance? they would both be running two shocks.

that wouldnt have anything to do with the dampning... just the shock placement.

Yes fox makes coilover not exactly for our trucks but if they were doing that much fab work they could get a fox coilover to work. Also the chevy guys that run 2 foxes off the arms still ride alight because they buy those shocks for that app. they are valved really soft so the two act as one regular valved shock, and why would you valve the fox soft on that set up and leave the coilovers valving in, that would make that second shock useless other then looks, if you want a set up like that you either valve both soft or one (the coilover) with no valving and the smooth body with the valving for that truck. I have to say that bump idea isnt bad though but we have bumps on our coilovers so that exta one isnt needed I would have fabed a air bump off the lower arm if you needed a bump that bad.
