6inch - lift extended radius arms. Advntages/disadvantages and do I NEED them?
Truck: 1992 F150 Inline 6 4x4
Objective: 6 inch suspension lift
Question: Do I need to replace the radius arms with extended ones?
-->I see that some kits come with extended radius arms and some dont. Are extended radius arms something that should be done when doing the lift?
What are the advantages/disadvantages when getting the extended radius arms?
Is there any great benefit?
Someone with a suspension lift has GOTTA know what Im talking about. I posted before and got NO replies but 50 views, like people have no clue what extended radius arms even are.
Any thoughts are welcome!
Thanks,
Roger

You don't have to replace them because whatever kit you buy will come with a radius arm drop bracket. The advantage to having the longer ones with the twin I beam is it makes it easier for the tires to travel individually and keep in contact with surface if used for any sort of offroading and it also helps with travel just because they prevent binding. So if it's just going to be on the road then go with the basic system but if you're going to offroad it then go with the extended arms.
