I added a 2.5" leveling kit to 2005. Now when I add 7 quarts of oil, it does not even mark the dip stick. Do I add more oil?
I have not had this problem and haven't heard of anyone else who has? It should not have caused a problem with your oil level. I would be careful adding oil and not to overfill before I ruled out other possibilites.

I am happy that everyone has gotten as much use out of the write-up as it seems.
I'm kind of a write-up junkie on the various message boards I'm on because I really like showing how easy some of this stuff is to install yourself. I am not opposed to paying someone to do some things for me and I support local business when I can/need to, but I also support my pocket book, so I have learned to do a lot of things myself. I do lift installs 'on the side' for friends and customers so I can work through one of these installs swiftly. Leveling kits (coil spacers, strut spacers, etc.) are about as easy as they come. Most current trucks and SUVs have this same basic style suspension, so doing one is generally not much different than the next.
I will be doing this install again soon on my buddy's F-150 crew cab. I will also be doing the rear blocks, so I will likely add those steps just to make the writeup more complete. I think he is going to go with the 3" spacers as he has a 2wd, and does not have the same spring rate the FX4 does. The 3" spacers should compensate a bit for being a little lower from the start, and get him pretty close to the height of a leveled FX4, and room for 35s.

TXST8tj, that would be awesome! I know that would help out a lot of people. BTW I don't know if I ever complemented you, but very nice write up!

Well hell! Thanks for the offer neighbor!! I'll have everything together and be over at your place Saturday, 8:00 sharp!
I don't have anything yet, but hopefully I can swing a 4" Rancho by the wife sometime soon. I want to put bigger tires on the truck when I replace the OEMs that are on there now.

I don't know exactly what kind you would need, but Im sure that Advance Auto or a similar store would rent you one - and they should be able to tell you what kind you need
I believe the highest torque was for the lower strut bolt @ 225 ft/lbs. If you download the instructions a couples posts above it will tell you for sure.
