I haven't put bags on my truck yet, but I put an 8" notch in the frame and ran the axle threw it's range till it layed on the ground. And I found that the driveshaft will hit the rear cab cross member long before it makes it to the ground. So I found a driveshaft fabrication place, and had them make me a drivershaft with a midshaft bearing, a 7" slip yolk, spicer U-joints, and smaller 3" diameter tubing. All they used is the front yolk, and rear yolk plate. And it works perfect without cutting any cross members! But it cost me $450 to have it made (well worth it in my opinion).
