rize and bilsteins

Im about to order the rize 8" lift and and im probably gonna get the bilstein 5150 and 5100 shocks and i was wondering if i decide later on to lift it the extra 2" will i need to get longer rear shocks?

lifting the front more wont affect tht rear. you wont need rear shocks. but if you plan on lifting the rear more to make it level once you have added the 2"s in front, then yes you might want to get longer shocks for the rear.

well would they still work if i lifted the back an extra 2 inches or would i have to buy new ones?

they will be fine... just dont do any extreme offroading.

They'll be fine even with that. LOL

I've got the Bilstein 5150s in the rear and a 2" Deaver add-a-leaf. I've dropped my axle to see and they're fine. Pretty damn good actually.

whats the extended length on those 5150's you have?

what ever they fit... what is your exact setup in the rear of you truck? a six inch block and a 2" AAL? cause i want to put the 5100 in the front and i want it to sit as close to level as possible. but then again i do like the prerunner look

So thumper do you have the 5150s front and rear?

I have 5100s in the front and 5150s in the rear. The 5150s have a res. attached to the body so you can't use them in the front.

Do you know the part # on the 5150's? If not, do you know the measurement from eye to eye on the shocks at ride height?

the measurments for a 6" block like the one that comes with the rize... is 34" extended length and 20" collapsed.

I noticed that there is (2) different valveing options 170/60 or 255/70. Which is better?

255/70 is what Rize recommends.
