How much would 1 leaf spring taken out help?

After comparing my truck to several other I noticed I have an additional leaf spring installed, I would like to have the truck sit more level...

How much would 1 less leaf spring drop the truck...I have plenty of clearance for my wheels too...thanks

When my wife and I got togeather she had a mazda B2200. I took the bottom leaf out. Road like a car!!! but you will see more body roll. And you won't be able to carry much in the bed.

Yah taking a leaf out is easy. I would say no on the alignment. Are you sure about the second from the bottom? And why does one side have a diff u bolt?

Mine's a 4X4 and matches yours. What's the difference and wonder what option had only 3 leafs?

I purchased the truck this way, not sure about the u bolt, I compared my truck to three others today and all of then only had three leaf springs...the top two are stock, and the bottom thick spring is stock as well...

mine is 4x2 also, I don't know why the truck was changed in this way...I would like the truck lower in the rear, as I said hauling isn't a concern at all...thanks fro the replies

I compared to the following:
1999 XLT Reg Cab, short bed 4x2
1998 XL Reg Cab, Long bed 4x2
2000 XL Reg Cab, Short Bed 4x2

all of which had two thin, and one thick springs

I just took a closer look at your pictures...judging by my springs and that u-bolt on your truck...I'd say she's been fiddled with.
