Want a little lift. Need information

Hello guys,

Im new to the site and new to trucks aswell. My first truck in 28 years and i must say I have been missing out for a long time. I have a 2006 F150 extended cab and looking for 2-3 inch lift. I dont know how much this runs for or even where to start. Im looking for a kit that will get it that height. I currently have 22 inch KMC Rockstars in Flat Black and think the truck will look better a little higher. If you can help me with what kit is good and where they have the best prices will really help me out. Thank you and look forward to leaning from you guys.

Thank you

your best bet would be a 3 inch body lift with brackets to bring the bumpers to teh body. A suspension lift would cost alot more, and is only useful if you really need it.

like i said, body lift.

What do I need for a 3 inch body lift? And where do I get it?

Also I was looking around and see on ebay they have these 2.5 lifters for the front. they kind of look like a spacer? I really want to know what is the right way to get it up a few inches. Dont want to rig it.

The spacers are leveling kits, so they make the front level with the rear. If you go with a body lift go with performance acc. Its a complete kit to lift the whole truck 3 inches.

I agree. You can go with a leveling kit or a Performance Accessories 3 inch body lift. The Autospring leveling kit is really popular around here and is less expensive and easier to install than a body lift. What size tires are you gonna run?

Im running a 305/45/22 at the moment but want something bigger. Im understanding now. So that spacer just lifts the front so the truck is not raked correct? I think Im going to buy that for now till i see what Im going to do as far as lifting the truck. Now to lift the truck 3 inches what does that usually go for? What brand is good? Just would like info on everything.

Thank you

Your're right. I believe the 3 inch Performance Accessories body lift for the 04-07's is over $200 and installation will probably be in the $500 to $800 range. Body lifts are not that hard to install, but they are time consuming, tedious work. And I hear they are a pain to install on the 04-07 F-150's. This is why installation cost are so high. Body lifts are a great value, if you can install them yourself. If you have to pay someone to do it, you might as well install a standard 6 inch Pro Comp lift. You will wind up with about the same amount of money involved.
