Gap Guards???

I wanted to put gap guards on my 97' f-150 extended cab with 3" lift, but i talked to a lift specialist and he said not to put any on because they come off easily. has anyone experienced these problems, and if you have is there a way to fix it. thanks

My buddy has had his gap gaurds for about 2 years and nothing has came off. I think you should just get them looks alot better than having a 3"gap.

no chance they are coming out, unless you use a drill bit bigger than 1/4". The clips that come in the kit are 1/4" in size, so drill the holes with a bit that size. i actually put mine on the other day and didnt like the reflective side of them facing out, so i switched them around today. To give you a hint, every clip was ruined because they were that hard in place. so i had to use new ones. They will be fine, and they make the truck look alot better w/o seeing the gaps. oh, and dont listen to that guy. Order them online www.suspensionconnection.com and install them yourself. very easy.
