Anyone know of someone who has done this? I really like the rancho shocks, but I also like the bigger 6in fabtech. Which shock would I have to use? the rancho tripple x or do they sell the rs9000x in the hieght? Let me know cause if this would work it would be perfect for me.

yes
rancho makes two shock applications directly for our trucks (97-03 4x4s)
a 0" for stock ride height
& then they make a 4" extended for use with their lift kit

now you can get special made/custom shocks from rancho but it is more expensive.

i agree with everyone else here, the performance shocks from fabtech suck, but their dirt logics are another story.

when i had my '01 screw I had some custom made for it & they performed great

Well, I actually have the newer f150, do they make the different lengths for that? Do they happen to have one for a 6in lift? Or would it have to be custom ordered? How much is it to custom order them?

yes they will have to be custom ordered
rancho only makes direct applications in 0", 2.5"(leveling), & 4" for use with their lift kits
the price of custom ordered depends on shock series, size, mount setup, valving, etc
since you have a newer f150, I suggest the Dirtlogic coilover & shocks
they are specially made for your truck & suspension setup
