Installing a 6" Fabtech lift - drawing/diagrams front suspension for a 05 F150

Some of you may have read my other tread about installing a 6” Fabtech lift kit. Well I really want to do this and have downloaded manual from Fabtech (read/study it every night.) The kit is on its way. So the test is coming and I need to study more…

What I want to know is there anywhere that has a drawing/diagrams of the front suspension for a 2005 F150 4X4. You know like what you see in an auto repair manual. I don’t think any manuals are out for the 04/05 model yet. Any help would be great, I would like to know what snap-ring, nut, washer, etc I will see as I take things apart/put them back together.

I know some of you may think I’m crazy for trying this, but why do they call it “bolt-on”. I do believe I can do it and would appreciate and help you provide.

J

The best place where I have found is in a HAYNES REPAIR BOOK. I bought mine for $9.50 on amazon and it has everything on these new fords. Hope it helps, oh yeah the book number is #36061 you might be able to pick it up at a local parts store. GOOD LUCK with the lift its pretty easy, just time consuming

The only hard part I found in putting on the lift is changing the struts. I didn't have a good spring compressor, I bent the one I had but it got the job done. Other then that there is only one part you have to cut. Every thing else is pretty much nuts and bolts. The directions from Fabtech go step by step.
