installed fabtech coilovers

I have the procomp 6 inch lift and have just installed the fabtech 2.5 coilovers and adjusted them acording to the specs. 1 inch from the top of the collar or 1 inch of threads showing. The problem is the truck now rides higher in the front. Its a blessing and a curse because the tires dont rub during rough turns but it isnt level. I checked the rear and the total block height is 4.5 inch (stock 2/procomp 2.5) I understand why they use the stock its for the bump stops. I would like to keep the front the way it is. Do I add a larger block to the rear I would assume so but how much and where do I find just the block. I can add .5 without new u shacks or bolts so I guess my question is if you lift x amount in the front is there a chart or rule of thumb for the rear. I should add that I am working with a 04 fx4 screw with 35 toyos. Any ideas or input

depending on the height difference you want front to rear you have a few options, you could get a 5" block by fabtech and that would gain you the .5" without getting new u-bolts, or you could get an AAL of about 1.5" if thats more the height you want and that may put you level all just depends on the amount you want/need to add to the rear...i did both on my truck to get the height i want, its all about preference...hope this helps

I agree. I would not go taller than 5 inches with lift blocks.

I think Im going with the add a leaf, looks like I need about 1.5 lift in the rear. Do I need to buy new u bolts, how thick is the add a leaf? Which brand seems to work the best. Who has the best prices. Anyone ever heard of a AAL that lifts 1" only?

if you just do a aal you wont need new u bults. although running a 5in. block is said to be really big and not a good idea if i were you thats what i would do you get to keep your stock ride! aal is going to kill that sweet ride that our trucks come with!! just one mans opinion

Sorry for the mix up I'm running a stock fx4 2' block and a procomp 2.5' for a total of 4.5. I thought that I could add just a 5' block alone because there is about 1.5 of extra thread left on the new procomp u bolts that came with the kit. Someone at work told me of a 1' shim kit what is that and anyone know how it works or what is involved?
