The FX4 package contains skid plates and Rancho branded shocks. These are specially valved shocks built to Fords specs. They are valved the same as the shocks used on the towing package so they are not the same as RS5000's, RSX's, etc. The package also contains different 17 inch wheels and decals.

Not sure about the older body styles. But I know my 05 has different shocks and skid plates.

The '02 FX4 has Rancho branded shocks, skimpy skid plates but functional, 4x4 with LS rear-end. Everything else is a '02 SuperCrew and other accessories.
