Will suspension lift fit garage

Will my truck fit in the garage still?
I am getting a Rancho 4 in lift for my 04 F150 supercrew. I am also putting on some 35 inch MT on my factory wheels. How high will I actually go and will I still be able to get in my garage.....I now have 7 in of clearance with all stock. Please help

7"-4"=3" but it's the lowest hanging part of the door that you need to measure and worry about. Sectional doors offer more clearance. Open the garage door, look up at it and see the lowest part (bracket or whatever). Measure that to the ground. Measure the highest part of your truck (could have an antenna on top of the roof) to the ground. Now add 3" and hope it's less then the door opening hight. Oh, plus you need to add the diamter difference between the tires. You should be able to get those specs from tirerack.

You'll end up actually being taller then just a 4 inch lift, thats just suspension drop, adding larger tires will add more lift, so depending on the size difference from stock tires to the 35's might be cutting it close.

Actually you'll only add HALF the diameter of the tires to the measurement, but yes, it depends on how much clearance you've got now, and how much your lift and tires will raise the truck.

We can't answer that one for you, bud. Sorry.

Measure, measure, measure!! I thought my stock height Screw 4x4 would fit in my garage and the front fit fine...... but my wonderful ability to not see the obvious forgot that the rear was slightly taller than the front....

Needless to say, the rear didn't fit as well as the front did.... CRUNCH!!

If those 7" of clearance are right on the money I would say that you are going to be very close, maybe too close for errors. I think you will be getting from 1" to 1.5" from the tires, plus the 4" from the lift will leave you with less than two inches to play.... or cry.

Let's do something..., get a 6" lift plus a 3" body lift or a 10" suspension lift, huge tires (minimun 38"tires),.... and then forget about the garage. Make it a shop. You will save some energy as well.

I wonder what kind of help you get from us. First a very sound suggestion and then crazy things. Well, that's what friends are for.

I live in the mountains. I have a carport with a dirt floor at my house. I'm behind a 6 ft. high locked fence. My truck sits up 14" over stock. I dug my dirt floor down 12" just so my truck would fit. Now when I come home, I drive down into the carport. Best thing is, no one knows there's a lifted truck in there. I won't lift my truck anymore because I don't want to dig out more dirt.
