Lightbulb Newbie Lifting

I'm thinking about lifting an extended cab 4wd 1994 F-150

I want to lift the truck for looks, but I also need to raise the trailer hitch...which is why I figure I need to go with a suspension lift and not a body lift.

basically I've narrowed it down to these Explorer Pro Comp lifts
http://www.4wheelparts.com/4wp/produ...RO&expand=sub2 am I looking at the wrong kits? are there better ones out there?

This truck will be used on the street 95% of the time, so I figure I don't need the new radius arms in the stage II kit? should I go with the stage I 4" kit @ $800? the 6" stage I is $810. 2" more for only $10? hmmmm, decisions decisions...I'm trying to keep the cost down as much as possible and want to do all the work myself with the help of a buddy. how hard is this going to be to do, and how much time will it take? do I need any special tools? I have an impact wrench, torque wrench, floor jack etc. but haven't really done ANY suspension work to speak of. any recommended reading so that I can learn all the basics? any help would be appreciated
