help with a clunk!!!

Okay here goes. Vehicle is 1995 Ford F150 4WD SB Reg Cab 5.0L. 3" body lift and 4" Suspension lift. 35" tires. While turning steering wheel to the left there is a pronounced "clunk". While turning back the other way...same clunk. While not turning wheel and moving forward and applying brake...same clunk...stop move backward and apply brake...same clunk. Its like a burr or hang up some where. We watch the front suspension closely and can see nothing move. Someone said they saw the front differential jump a little. The clunk is not very loud and does not happen all of the time. Could this be in the front axle?...Ant thoughts would be appreciated.

Jack up the front and support the vehicle(heavy duty jack stands). Have someone sit in cab while you r under truck. Start grabbing steering linkage while someone is turn the wheel whith the truck off and with the truck on. You may feel or see where the clunk is coming from.

Just thought of something, 95 had the TTB with coils. Depending on the lift manufacturer, depending on how the diff was dropped, go around with the truck still in the air and retighten all the suspension attachment bolts. I actually had this problem on my 91 f150 with a Ranch 6 inch kit. Hope this helps.

Check your radius arm bushings. Also, just because the b-joints are new dosn't mean anything. They can go 10 miles or 100,000 (though rare, but you get the point).
