Off Set Control arm bushings for Caster?
Waiting on my energy suspension "hyperflex" polyurethane control arm bushings to arrive. The tech said if it was him doing it, he would leave the outter metal portion of the bushings where they are and BURN out the rubber portion to remove the inner sleeve.
What I would like to know is.........what if you pressed the entire bushing FORWARD toward the frontend so that the control arms set BACK toward the cab? Would this allow a greater CASTER setting? Has anyone done this? How much could I move the bushings? Is the only concern the wheel clearance when in full turn mode?????????
Or should I just replace the oem rubber bushings with the polyurethane bushings and use the camber/caster kit for max. adjustment?
The reason I ask is that, before replacing all the steering linkage I had the max. caster set. It helped, but not enough.
