Cool the Hellwig front bar is finally available

Just FYI, that after 4 months of waiting, it finally showed up. #7646 1997-2000 front 2WD. The OEM is 1&1/8", the Hellwig is 1&7/16". It's huge and heavy. It handles much better and makes alot more difference than the rear one did. It's new and had the wrong end link bolt and spacer size. New ones are on the way, old ones work fine. I gave them the heads up on the problem and size needed.

What is the deal with that,anyway? I have tried to order an end link kit,twice,and both times it came with the wrong size.
Length,and bolt size. Can't these guys figure it out yet? Sheez! lol.....98

Question

98SCREAMER- Who knows, they told me that they have a '97&'01 truck there. The bar seems engineered well, but it doesn't take much engineering to measure a end link bolt, spacer, or the required area????

HI!... MAX MITCHELL : COOL! I've always thought that the stock sway bar on these trucks was really small for it's size. How much did it cost? Does it come with new polyurethane bushings? I paid $119.95 + shipping from J.C.Whitney. Yes, it has black polyurethane bushings for the the bar and end links. The handling is great for a big truck; much improved. The front did more than the rear. It has less front body roll around corners, and is really nice at high speeds (like a curved exit ramp). Nothing about it is harsh. It's nice but still isn't a sports car..lol.

HI!... MAX : Thanks for the reply. I already have HELLWG'S rear sway bar. I'm very pleased with it. No problems for the last year and a half. As soon as I pay MIKE T for my new FLIPCHIP SUPERCHIP, it will be 24lb injectors and then HELLWIG's front sway bar. Thanks for letting us all know that it's finally out on the market.

Max- Was front sway bar install difficult? Looks like a tight fit getting bar ends through there. Also, do you have four wheel disc brakes on your truck, and if so, where did you get em, how much, etc.

BTW, I just put some Bilsteins on the front of my truck, they're real nice, much better than the Rancho 9000s I had. Worth the price (about $63 ea @ Autozone stores, must order).

Welcome seeker333 !!- The front bar is extremely easy to install. It is a direct bolt on and much easier than the rear. The bar ends are simple. You take off the end links, drop the center U-brackets, and it drops right down and out; install in reverse order. Yes, my truck has 4 wheel disc and ABS standard from the factory. Yes, Bilsteins are nice, I had them on an import car. I got the Ranchos to be able to adjust them myself, especially for the rear and towing.
