Question 3" Lift Pics????

I was wondering if I could see everyone's pics of their 3 to 4 inch lift, because I am trying to get an idea of what my truck would look like...

Thanks!

Question

JDm,

Very nice truck! Got a few question for ya' if you don't mind...

1)How much of a power difference did you notice on your V6 with the 33's?
2)How much TOTAL lift do you have on your truck?
3)I noticed that next to your coil spacers you put that they gave you 3" of total lift. How so?
4)Also, I saw that your lower control arms were red. Are they just painted, or did you replace them too?
5)One last question..how do your flowmaster duals sound on a V6? Any power difference? Is it a complete Flowmaster system, or just the mufflers?

Sorry for all the questions, but I would appriciate your help!

Thanks,
Chris

1. very little difference.
2. around 7 inches w/add tire height
3. I took measurments before and after the spacers were installed and there was about 3 inches in changed.
4. they are just painted.
5. They sound beautiful, yes full system

Question

JDm,

Sorry but one more question for ya'...
About the coil spacers, could you explain how they work? Do they work with the factory control arms and springs? How is ride quality affected? I hadn't considered them before, but they would be much cheaper than new springs and control arms! Also, you said you have 7" of lift w/ increased tire height. How much height did your tires add by themselves?

Sorry again, but thanks so much!!!

Chris

Coil spacers just go underneath the coil. You keep stock everything. But since you didnt change the a-arms and all that good stuff, your suspension is extended closer to its max, supposingly it gives a stiffer ride. I plan on doing a spacer lift as soon as someone can give me some feedback on the instaltion ( i have another post on it) or if i find a resonable place that will do it for alot less than 300 ( 4wheel parts ). As for the tires...they had half the difference between your old and new tires. ie: stock tires 30 inches, new tires 33 inches, added height is (33-30)/2 = 1.5 inches of lift. And heres a question for anybody, how do you post pictures?

JDM- What kind of shop did you get yours done at. i called several tire and shock places and they won't do it. Also i was just curious as to your 2.5 in lift from the spacers...was it measured on the flat ground?

CCLA has 7" of lift, doesn't look like JDm has quite that much.

CCLA has a 7 inches of lift put onto his car plus another 2.5 from his tires. I think JDM has 1.75 from spacers, 3 inch body, 1.5 from tires, im not quite sure how he got 2.5 inches from them though especially since 2.5 inches more will make the front end higher then the rear without 1 inch blocks...possibly the measurements were on different slops, who knows, cept him.

Cool

I AM THE BIGGEST !!!!!!

Biggest what though I'm not sure about. They have quite a few guys running around here on this site that are taller than me ( Squanto,And That redneck with no shirt ) And a couple of rigs around my town bigger too. I have a New job now that will give me a company truck so the F150 can stay out of commission for longer and will no longer be a daily driver. THaT MEANS I can add the Fabtech kit and Maybe run some LARGER tires too. I hate it when some guy in a lifted 4x4 dodge pulls up next to me and is taller. I CAN"T STAND IT. I'm gonna have to fix that.
