Post Coil spring spacers

Has anyone installed coil spring spacers on the front coils? If so how did you do it, i have lifted the back of my truck another 3" and i want to level it out in the front now, anyone who has done this on a pre 97 2wd would be especially helpful. Thanks,
JB
