Post 3in Body lift + 3 inch Spindle+ 33 inch tires?

Right now i have a 99 f15 s/c with a 3 in body lift and 33 inch tires. Has anyone added a 3in spindle lift to this without adding bigger tires. From what i hear you have to add a 1 inch coil spacer to fit 35's. I just bought new 33s so i dont/cant just go and and buy new 35s when i got a brand new 33s installed. Anyone got pics of this?

I think ccla is best to answer this, maybe you should search some of his posts. He has a 2wd with (I think 35's). I got to admit I own a 4x4 and I'm jealous of his setup. Don't forget to change your 3.55 gears when/if you get 35's. I bet your truck looks great with 33's

CCLA has cool picks posted around here somewhere...

Well it should look Good. I did have to add the Coil Spacer to clear the 35's. They still rub sometimes, like if I hit a bump while turning. The 33's should look fine. You also shouldn't rub at all. Look @ it this way....Get the Spindle Lift and run it with the 33's. If you don't like it when the 33's are bald, get 1" spacers or the Fabtech Kit and Go up to 35's. ( Assuming You Have Aftermarket Rims that Will Fit 35's )

The 3.55's aren't too bad with the tires. It shifts a little differently though. The biggest thing was the ride decrease with the AT tires. I got a tow package on the back to help hold it down, and my tonoue cover should weight it down some more (also thinking bout baggin it) that stuff should help with the ride.

Probably Not. Those are narrower and shorter than mine. So go ahead and get them, You can always add the Coil Spacers If they don't fit But Since I'm running 35x12.5's you should be okay. Oh Yeah, the spacers are only $7.00 each so not too big of an investment

ccla~
thanks! just one more question: do you think the 34's will fit with just the 3in body lift? the reason i ask is because they fit on the 4x4's with no lift and if i'm correct, the 4x4's are only 2in higher than the 4x2's. thanks again for your help!

I can answer that, they won't fit a 2wd with just a 3" body lift. A buddy of mine has a 4" suspension lift with 34's on his 4x4 and they rub a little on turns.

I have a 2wd and 285/75/r16 fit perfect, granted they are a tad under 33in its still damned close and they fit fine. 33's (285/75/16)actually fit in a 4x4 stock.

Question

CCLA,

Ok, just curious. You have the 4.2 with 3.55's and you can turn those 35's. I figured that when I could afford to put on 35's I would also need a gear swap in the rear end, but you seem fine. I must say that I reallllllllly like your truck!!!!

Hey Bones,

Thanks For the Compliment. I do plan on doing a gear swap ( As Soon As that stupid whip stops cracking at home. I dunno if she's nuts or what. Something about a house being more important. I dunno, Like I said I think she's A couple Fries short of a happy meal, If you know what I mean.) But until then the 3.55's seem okay. I have a 5 Speed so I can Shift when I want to. I also Rarely use 5th anymore unless I REALLY crusing. The Auto Tranny would def. need the swap alot more than mine.
