The engine has a build date sticker on it right down to the day.
The door jab has a month/year date on the sticker.

It always amazed me that my motor was manufactured on 3/23/99 in Windsor Canada and my Norfolk built truck arrived at the dealership on 3/31/99. That's eight days shipping the motor, building the truck, and shipping the truck.

About the VIN, the last 6 positions are a sequence number but, I have no idea how to decode it.

Exclamation Dang if you ain't right

Bottom righthand corner. 3/25/99, now that's even more amazing. The engine is built in Canada and 48 hours later it's in a completed truck in Norfolk.

My neighbors say I'm anal about my truck, nearly three years and it still has the window sticker but, I don't pay them no mind.

Question Build date

I just looked at my sticker lower right hand side. It reads 10/12/01.

My S/Crew was delivered to dealer 11/01/01 and I picked it up later that week.

Makes sense to me.
