Any way to track where my truck is via VIN #?

I've been waiting for over 9 weeks now and all the dealer can tell me is it should be here any time. That's the same answer I got 2 weeks ago. He could not give me a build date that I asked for, He could not give me a ship date.

I just got off the phone with him and told him to have me a VIN number within the next hour or I was going to cancle my order.

Now my question is, when/IF I get the VIN, is there any way to find out where it is?

He tells me that it has been built, (not sure I even trust that) and it should be here any day.

To my knowledge the supercrew is only built in KC. I live about 100 miles from KC. Dealer is telling me that it could have been built in TN somewhere and that's why it's taking so long to get here. Is there a plant in TN that builds the supercrew?

Any help is appriciated.

Eric

Oh yeah by the way tell the dealer the letter K in your VIN # is the assembly plant in which your truck was built, K stands for Kansas City!!!

Thanks B

Yep, live in Columbia.

I'll give the dealer a call. No wonder they could never give me a build date. It hadn't been built yet Believe me, him and his supervisor are going to get an ear full.

Before placing my order with them, I asked them how soon they could get the order in would I have to wait for them to sell a bunch off their lot. They said the order would go in immediately and it would be here in about 3 to 4 weeks. HA

Nothing like a little ammo to fire at these guys

Again, Thanks for all the work. People like you are what make these boards such a great thing

Hey Eric, it is 2:24PM......

Just wondering has the dealer called yet? According to Convoy, your new 2002 is or should be sitting in Columbia, MO today! Unless of course the dealer plans on trying to hide it? HE HA, No seriously it should have hit lot while you were sleeping.

Dealer just called and said it's here and ready.

I'm getting ready to go take a look at it.

Thanks again.
