Hey Troy,

You are right, I was major skeptical before I made up my mind to buy her. Now I seem to think the seats will be just fine, I just needed to get some time behind the wheel and experience it for more than just a cruise around the block. Also, since I own it now I am less likely to say much since there isn't a damn thing I can do about it anyway.

I think the biggest shock probably comes from folks upgrading from older Lariats to the newer seats. The older Lariat seats were much softer and cushy, actually I think I may have jumped the gun on giving the new seats a bad name since I had so little experience sitting in them.

I still don't like the fact that I have no place to put my Son's baby seat without taking up one of those precious rear buckets.

I did remove my rear console and checked it out real close and it looks like another bucket seat would almost bolt right in with a little work though.

Major anticipation hey? I feel your anxiety man! Check out the pic link or visit my gallery of pics.
Talk later,

DaveMan

Hey Troy,

Are you out there? I'm starting to worry about that anxiety thing you mentioned a couple of times. Are you just takin' a break from this site until you get screwed again?

I sure hope everything is going well for you. I hope you know that I never meant to hurt your King Ranch feelings. Touch base if you can resist to see all those KR photos on the Screw forum. I know this stuff can really eat at you, 'cause it did it to me as well. Just had to buy the damn thing to get rid of that perpetual fever that aspirin cannot touch. I think you know what I mean.

Daveman, please let us know if your decide to install the third bucket seat. I'm considering doing the same thing. I would have ordered the bench seat if I was buying a '02 but I couldn't pass up the financing on the '01.

hey daveman,

i've been busy the last few days with house guests, etc. all the work and play is keeping my mind occupied! but, new s-crew should be here in short order. it was supposed to be built on sept 24th. i haven't called the dealership to get a delivery date, but in these parts it usually takes about two weeks from the build date...

Hey BroncoDave,

Looked into ordering the third bucket and my dealer really doesn't want to get involved. They just tell me it will be more than a grand to get all the parts. According to my dealer, each piece must be ordered seperately like the screws, washers, frame, cushion, you get the picture. They say that the only way to get a seat assembly is if the truck has been the victim of vandalism or fire and must be backed up with police reports and other legit' documents. Sounds like they just are scared to be a part of the modification to me.

I did post a couple of emails on those salvage yard wire services called long lines and have not heard back yet. I figured if someone has totalled a KR then the seats would be up for grab. I'll keep you posted.

Troy,
Nice to hear you are still kickin'. Hurry up and get that damn screw so we can also feel the relief.
