How to drill hole for bed extender lock

Here's a picture of exactly where to drill the hole to put a lock on your bed extender. The hole needs to be pretty exact so it is much easier to do if you take off the whole black plastic bar, which you can then put into a drill press to drill the hole. It is very easy to unbolt and slide off. Go one drill size bigger than 1/4" for the hole size.

The best place to buy the locks is Walmart. They have two Brinks brass locks in a package for about $10. Most places want that or more for only one lock (you DO want to use a lock on each side!).

(see next msg for picture with the lock installed)
