GEN What????

I see references in the messages to GEN I, GEN II, etc.,. What does this mean? I bought my 'Screw in August of 2000, what does that make mine? Are there really any differences?

Post slight differences

Here's a really - really quick overview (Im sure others can add to it):

With the 2nd generation 2001 version (sometime around July), two colors were deleted (amazon green and harvest gold). They were replaced by arizona beige and a darker green (dont remember the name right now). There was also a price increase, but I think that was about it for this version.

The "off road package" was made available during generation 2 or 3. Actually, it was just the addition of the stickers on the bed. All of the components were available with earlier versions.

Generation 3 added a new style front bucket seat, and rear seats with headrests. A new style front console was added, and the rear fold-down armrest/cup holder was deleted. And of course, another price increase.

Thats my quickie description. Im sure there were other features added/deleted within the generations that I did not list.

Also on the GEN III's a XLT Apperance Package option was added which is the color coded surround, color coded mirrors and the honeycomb grill. My GEN III has this option. Also have the Ford rear entertainment system.
