I just got back from 3 weeks vaction and a good run for the Supercrew and am very pleased with the performance of the truck.
We took a couple of trips out from home with the truck and our 31 foot trailer. The trailer weighs in at 5600lbs empty. We hauled ourselves and teenagers in the back seat as well as luggage food firewood some water and hauled in temperates as high as 95 degrees on the Interstates at speeds of 60 to 70 MPH.
Last Wednesday camping in the Poconos in PA we decided to go see New York City. My teenage daughters have not seen the big apple. We left the trailer in PA and took the supercrew into Manhatten with us. We took the Lincoln tunnel into the city and parked in a garage at the port authority terminal and went and saw the city.
Back at the campground in PA I spoke to a fellow with they only other supercrew at the GC. He was towing a 29 foot trailer with a slideout. He said it weighed in at 8200lbs and knew he was overloaded but was pleased at the way it performed.
On the trip home I saw about 5 other supercrews on the New York Thruway towing trailers of at least 26 feet and up and some of those at least in the 30 foot range.
In summary we towed at least 3000KM. We towed in temps of 95 degrees at 60 -70 MPH and in heavy stop and go traffic. The truck took us from the hills of PA and parked on grass to the 7th floor of a parking garage in NY.
I did keep wondering if it was any of you I passed on the interstates?
