New screw. New problem.

Just bought and 02 supercrew lariat. Got a heck of a deal on it. Already have problem though. When it's in neutral the rpm's jump and will eventually even out and idle fine. Same problem occasionally happens in park. Drives and shifts fine. Any suggestions or has anybody else had the same problem

Any codes? Milage? Motor? Mods?

You could clean the MAF, Throttle body, and IAC. Also check it over for vac leaks. These are all just guesses.

Clean the throttle body as well. See the How To's on tips to clean both if needed, but I bet either or both could be your issue.

Good luck!

Welp. Thanks for the help was able to fix idle problem. Now i have another issue. Got in my vehicle today and the service engine light, oil light, outside temp light, odometer, and direction reader was on. My truck would turn fine but wouldnt start. Unhooked battery to reset it. Then the truck started fine. Drove home 10 miles. Parked it, turned it off, pulled the key out, and the heater was still running full blast and a few of the lights stayed on. Any suggestions?

Does the truck have a moon roof/sliding sun roof? If so I have heard the seals can wear out and the drain lines get clogged causing water to end up in the dash.

Water Leak-Clogged Drain Moon Roof????

Yes. I am sure that is what the problem is. The mooon opens in the two airing out positions, but goes crooked once you try for full opening. There is an automotive center here in Atlanta that supposedly works on these that was recommended by the used truck dealer I bought the truck from.,

I ran a bottle of seafoam through it and seemed to clean it up.

I dont have a moonroof.
I took off them gem and cleaned it up. Looked like it had some corrosion on it. The windshield has been replaced before, so im hoping that will fix it.
