3" lift spindles Vs 6 1/2 Suspension lift
Has anyone added the 3" lift spindles to their screw yet? I've seen the 6 1/2 Fabtech lift, but I would like to see a screw w/ the spindle lift. Also what size tires look the best.
PS the lift will be going on a 2x
PSS I like the 6 1/2 lift, but my wife is only 5' and kids are never out of the picture. As always any help would be appreciated.

Hiya Woody,
Well I can give you a real good idea of what your looking at on on both choices here. The 6.5" FabTech lift will make the truck fairly hard for the wife and kids to get into, but it will look great! My 2WD is lifted 7" on 35" tires and my girlfriend (5'7") has difficulty getting in. The spindles will give stock ride quality while the Fabtech will ride noticeably stiffer in the front end. If you put steps on the sides of the truck it would be better for the wife n kids if you do end up with the 6.5" lift. I have seen a Screw up close, even rode in it,that had a 7" lift and 35's and it looked AWESOME! Anyways I'll show you a pic of my truck to give you an idea of what 7" looks like on a 2WD. Also you can see pics of me getting out of the truck on my website, too. This should give you a good idea of how high it is from the seat to the ground.
you can see lots of other pics here.. http://www.jasonshobbyshowcase.homes...asonsF150.html
Hope this helps ya!

Thanks for the replys,
fyrdawg2, your pic didn't come through. I'd still like to see it, but I already went with the 6 1/2.
dirtslinger, I've been watching your trucks transformation, and it looks great! I did go with the 6 1/2 fabtech lift. I'm not as savy on the computer, as you appear, so pics may take a little bit. As for the lift, It turned out great! I wasn't sure if I wanted to go that high, but I'm glad I did. I'm also still running around with my stock 17" wheels and tires. It looks kinda dorky, but the Centerlines haven't come in yet.
As for the ride. I upgraded to the Rancho 9000's. They're set at "3", and they feel great. The ride is a bit firmer but still very comfortable. It doesn't have that "floaty" feel any more. Turning and handling has greatly improved over stock.
I'll try to post some pics when I 1- locate a dig. camera,2- figure how to post.Later guys.

The 3" spindle lift from FabTech is a major suspension component, and an installation requires a certain level of expertise, a lot of time, and all the right tools! The springs themselves are not changed out, only the spindles. I had mine installed by FabTech's retail unit, Aggressive Suspension in Fullerton. They charged a little over $900, which I gladly paid in order to have my baby leveled out!
