i really want to rig up a center console like what is in my truck right now that folds down and has a caddy with two cup holders. Any ways i want to find one and mount it to the back of the box so the back seats have cupholders and arm rests. And if someone had to sit on my box, they could fold it up, plus it would look stock b.c it is OEM ford.

So if anyone knows where i can find a center fold down console, and mounting hardware to the back of the seat send the info my way. or maybe ill just do an exy console and use the one thats in my truck now. But all of this is not very high on my list of mods i want to do. Next will probably be dualing out my exuast and getting new mufflers.

Other then that ive had no regrets, no air leaks or other problems, and nothing but compliments about my box, when i went to get it inspected i had my seats folded down and they kid was asking me where my box was b.c he didnt see it at a first glance. Oh i have almost all the rattles taken care of, my HU itself rattles a tad on hard rap bass songs, and my overhead console still rattles a little, its the front part of the front bay so that should be an easy fix.

Still looking for suggestions for the component speakers? What kind of budget do you want to stay in? By the way, box looks good. I wouldve done it a little differently, but i like the contoured design, and it is your truck. Its nice, man.

sure havent done anything other then whats documented here as far as speakers. I dunno what my budget is, not very much at the moment, but i could put them on my christmas wish list, and my birthday is coming up too.

Sooo hit me up with your recomendations. I want really clear semi loud midrange, and i dont want/like alot of treble.

From my experience, Boston Acoustics has really good component speakers, but they're expensive. If you have the subwoofers, you have your bass from those. The purpose of the speakers, then, is to fill in the rest (i.e. treble, mid-range, higher-frequency bass...). So even if you're not look for a lot of treble, it helps give a full sound to your music. Alpine also makes good component speakers, and Infinity's are decent as well.

--Something to think about, though... if you're budget isn't huge, you may want to go with coaxial speakers. They cost less, you don't have to worry about the crossovers, and if you're not looking for the treble, its not that much of a difference.

Ifinity's are good unless you crank them. Then they get to where they cant handle the power and dont sound as good.

Good Ideas...go ahead.

Hey you've really got some good ideas...a friend of mine has a Screw with buckets factrory in the back. He just took a sub box that was pre-fabbed for like a little mazda's trunk and put it between his seats. Also if you throw a cross port across the back and mount the speakers face down it adds ALOT of bass response. On the other hand me and my buddies have made countless boxes...and basically customized several vechicles...after about 2 years we have found that little details (recessed rectangular storage spaces, custom cup holders etc.) are often the most appreciated parts of a build. Your decision though. Good luck keep up the good work.

well im talking with bartak about setting up my amp correctly and what not, and i pulled my box up, and ive got two problems

one is the rear sub lip is layin on the carpet, and the cone edge touches the carpet on full excursion.

two i apparently didnt reinforce the sides to the bottom well enough, and the pressure of the sub is distorting the plate where the sub is mounted, and letting air escape. so ive got to either fix this box, or build another one.

I apparently didnt put any screws down the length of the sides that went into the bottom panels

I put a WTB classified on this site, and someone emailed me within a week. I had a buddy that sold his a while back, just look for people parting out super crews with your color interior. All you have to do is flip over the hardware on the front and drill one hole, and it bolts right in

and just FYI its a 40/60 rear seat so you are looking for another 40% seat
