I've had this truck for about 10 years and it has been my primary DD with the exception of when I did the last motor swap and right now while it's down. The truck is a factory 2wd, 4.6, 5spd. A couple years ago it blew a head gasket with 217k miles on it. I got a good deal on a 4.6 pi motor with about 75k miles on it out of a mustang. I bought a f150 truck intake and put it in. I just got it running and came across some comp 270 cams. So I picked those up and got some valve springs and finished it. I drove it like that unturned for almost 2 years. During that time I found a good deal on a procharger. A few months ago I finally got around to putting it on and that was it. I broke a piston during tuning process. I do believe it was my fault however. After I put the blower on and bigger injectors I did idle it in and out of my work for about a week until I got it to the tuner. I'm pretty sure fuel built up on the ringlands and lifted it then while he was tuning it, probably blew one off. The direction I'm going in is still undetermined for the most part but I'm leaning toward going 4v. I've got a deal lined up to get some Navi heads and some other parts. Anyway I will post some pictures shortly. All comments are welcome.

About to pull the original engine.

Npi 4.6

Pi 4.6

Nobody makes long tunes for a 4.6, so I had to buy lontubes for a 5.4 4x4 and then I welded on ball flanges.

Exhaust I built for it

Dual 16" electric fans

Frame notch and flip.

Flip and shackles in the rear and springs in the front.

Spindles and springs up front and I put stock shackles back on it.

The bad. Looking through a bore scope.

Sullivan. And yes definitely forged internals. If the deal goes through I will get mod max rods and Manley 20 over pistons.

Well I got some parts a few weeks ago. The Navi heads I purchased were supposed to be ported, but are not. I did get my Sullivan intake and a large throttle body and elbow.

Me too, however it's not my garage it's where I work. My boss has let me take it apart up there as long as it's out of the way during the work week.

I sold the procharger a couple weeks ago. I'm going to sell my navigator heads and a set of blower cams I have. Also I purchased a set of 9 thread 04 cobra heads that I plan to use instead g the navigator heads. Hopefully soon I can get rolling on the engine build and decide on a turbo. Then I can get it in and get the hot side built and so on.
