08 5.4 Supercharger balancer question

Hi y'all

Harmonic balancer on an F150 5.4

Engine code 7G 600 BB.

Not sure if the balancer is the one with the three threaded holes? (For a Rouch charger pulley for instance)
Cannot get in to take a photo. Anyhow it could probably do with replacing.

Does anyone know the correct part number for the balancer & bolt? (Threaded hole unit)

A price on the two if possible?

I'm not real clear on your question but if you are talking about the stock factory damper pulley. Go here; http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php 2008 5.4 Dorman part# 594205 $46.79

Awesome link fella. Thanks for that

Apparently there's two types of balancer. One with the mounting holes for the supercharger adaptor and one without.

Unsure if that's the correct balancer as they use stock photo's

Was hoping someone on here would just hit the nail straight on the head.

A lot of guys here with that knowledge maybe someone will stepup. If not you may want to either call Rockauto they may carry both parts and they're very helpful to deal with or post your question on this site under Superchargers & Turbochargers topics. Good luck.

Thanks.

I managed to drag my **** off the sofa and take a look at the balancer AND ..... Its the wrong one

Anyhow, I found out that an older Lightning balancer can be used as it has the left hand thread to mate with the lower SC drive. If I use the regular Balancer I would need the #XL3V6A329AA Adaptor

Anybody have these items spare?

I have bought a Roush SC kit and need the right dam balancer ..

I will pop a thread up in the SC & Turbo section in a little while

Edit: For clarity ... A few pictures

The two different Balancers (I have the R/H one)

The adaptor & Lower driver ... I heard the adaptor is not needed with the stock lightning balancer?

I have requested the thread to be moved into the SC section.

In the mean time I've found this Balancer ..

1997- 2009 Ford 4.6L 5.4L Harmonic Balancer #7L3Z6312A#

THIS IS AN O.E. HARMONIC BALANCER/PULLEY FOR THE FORD AND LINCOLN 4.6L AND 5.4L VEHICLES LISTED BELOW. IT IS IN GOOD CONDITION AND COMES EXACTLY AS SHOWN IN THE PHOTO.

f150, 5.4l - f150 1997-03, heritage 2004 (4.6l, 5.4l) 2001 - 2004

mark lt, 5.4l - f150 new style 2004-08, mark lt (4.6l, 5.4l) 2004 - 2005
expedition, navigator - 5.4l 2007 - 2009

f250 super duty - 5.4l 2008

f350 super duty - 5.4l 2008

e150-350 vans - 5.4l 2008

f150 - 5.4l 2009

QUESTION'S:

1) I assume this will fit my 08? (The add states it)

2) I assume all these Balancers are the same size? (Same size from 04 - 08?)

That pulley will fit your engine. The three bolt holes are used for pulling the damper and the damper on your truck just uses a different style puller. So the blower kit is an adapter to fit the damper that has the holes.

Thats great thanks for the reply fella

Basically I need them 3 holes to mount the lower drive adaptor ... Even if I decided on an Aftermarket lower drive I'de still need them holes.

Take a look at the interchangeable lower pulleys and hub made by Metco Motorsports. These are lightning components, but work fine with the Roush supercharger. I have it on mine. It saves a lot of weight from the lightning setup that comes with the Roush kit.

Yeah av been looking into that .. They do stock to +10 ..

Might buy one, +2 be good on Roush Cal until I get a proper tune?

Makes changing the aux belt a little easier

Edit: This is the +2 kit
