Who's Going Drag Racing???

So who else plans to run their truck this spring? Any recent mods?

My truck will be ready in less than an hour with 4.11 gears installed I can't wait to get them broke in and drive her hard. In addition to this I have ordered wedges to help with pinion alighnment and QA1 dual adjustable shocks for the rear. Hoping that with these and the traction bars I can put down some real numbers this year. Also up'd my shift points to 5400 1-2 and 5300 2-3 and the new tune will be allowing more power through the tranny. Trying to catch FatherFord is no easy task lol.

I plan on making an attempt to hit or break an 11.50 This spring.
I added 2PSI and a full 3" dual exhaust since my last dyno run.
Oh and I just bought some Bogart front drag wheels too.

I need a new race tune and I'm ready to make a run.

Phil

April 22nd is the first day around here.

Was hoping my torque converter would be here by now, but I guess I still have some time...

Just did open track nights last summer/fall, planning on doing amateur brackets once a week this year.

I see you live near Findley. Do you go to 42?

Marion County/Larue and Summit/Norwalk.

Use to live closer to Norwalk, but think am going to head there on Wednesday nights.

Am a bit older, just hope I haven't forgot how...

Got a club day invite to 42 last fall but had "family" stuff going on that weekend.

I am still fixing my rear diff. Any track plans are on hold. I do want to see what an extra 3 psi and more aggressive shifting would do.

Don't give that age issue a second thought. Hell I will be 60 this week and I can still bang gears with the best of them. Norwalk was my track of choice between 2001-2004 when I had the Lightning and Cobra. Went 11:22 @ 121mph in the Cobra the first time I went there. Not bad for an old guy with a 6 speed

I really hope to go to the track next winter on some better tires. I'd love a 13.5 on street tires
