I just wanted to know if mustang and f150 fuel injectors are interchangeable? I need to get some 42# injectors.

42lb'rs on L's. You can get new ones from www.buyfordracing.com for 269. May be cheaper elsewhere, but this is a good price.

I know I'm bumping an old thread, but I've been searching and haven't found anything better than this... I'm looking for 42# injectors, $270 wasn't out of reach for me but this website no longer sells them?

Call them, they may be more but I'm sure they still sell them.

I got mine from Fuel Injection Specialties, but they cost me $319. They cut me a deal on installing them though. I know you can still get the #39s on Ford Racing and they are cheaper than $319. I think they even come with the adapters..

You've got to be ****ting me. I called them, no longer available through FORD... Seriously... how many expletives come to mind?

Off to try the one brad mentioned.

FIS= No, none on hand. Recommends reconditioning, UPS priority to them, and they'll usually get them sent back out in 24 hrs.

Klitch, how long before you need them?

Are these the ones you are looking for? Was the cheapest place I found to get 39#...

Aside from the color scheme being different, I'm not sure at this moment, EV1 connection is what has me unsure. Yes to the 42# though. I will sit on this link for the night thank you!

Here's my bind, and back story to the sudden push for injectors.
Last weekend, I overheated, misfired and cussed for 260 miles. I got 3.6 mpg towing 8000#... I feel I ran on 5 cylinders.

I'm so fed up, I've got myself to the point that the truck gets one last shot to stay in my hands. I will replace plugs, wires and injectors. If this does not remedy my issue, then it goes down the road and I want a 7.3 diesel crew cab.

I'd prefer to have them before next weekend (not this coming weekend), this is when I'd plan on driving back down the same roads doing the same load.

This "desired" time frame puts me in the bind of deciding on 8 new, or sending mine out to be refurb'd by the fellas at FIS for $150 + S&H. I'd get them back within 7 days from best estimate (can live with that if I get them out by weds.)
