Low fuel levels

I've experienced a loss of power on aggressive take offs in first gear that I can only attribute to a flow of fuel away from the fuel pump. Anyone else experience this? I'm not sure where the fuel pump is, but I'm guessing it's more toward the front of the tank.

are you setting at less than a quarter tank? I read on here a while back that it is not recommended, but I have gone WOT on less than a quarter tank to verify for myself and it will cut out, makes your stomach drop the first time it happens as it is like a complete power loss...and my reaction was wtf did I just break.

You should never go WOT with less than 1/4 tank and yes thats the pump running out of fuel

Exactly what happened to me, let of the throttle immediately, and was puzzled, but then looked at the low gas gauge and figured it out. Don't wanna run that bastard lean.

I had it happen a few times, and these weren't at WOT, but enough throttle to where I experienced a distinct bog. The loss of power led to immediate let off. Hadn't read that in here, so I appreciate the confirmation. I'm one to wait to fill up when the low fuel indicator comes on. I will need to change my habits on fill ups or drive more conservatively when I'm at 1/4 tank or lower.

My truck NEVER gets to 1/4 tank, I consider 1/4 tank as empty so it is always filled up pryor to hitting 1/4.

Yep, min 1/4 tank is it for hard acceleration.
It amazes me that the pump pick up is so tight to tank bottom, but it is still an issue.

+1 on this. boss1984 had less than 1/4 tank and broke 4 pistons on a hard launch.
