I am highly considering it and want to do something unique that will make amazing power. My goal is to get the truck on the cover of Truckin' and it shouldn't be an issue. It's going to take lots of time and money but now that I have the new Dmax my truck just sits so why not finish it out. I got the complete saleen body kit with the 23 inch wheels. As some of you know my truck is blacked out in everyway possible. I want to keep the same theme but I am considering doing it flat black instead. The truck is going to be repainted because their is going to be lots of body mods done like completely shaving everything and doing some custom work. I dont want to give away all of the secrets. Lets just say I have a buddy who is a skilled body person that will be doing all the work for me. I'm going all out on this one, yall will all see when it is done. But who knows when that will be this is going to be a huge project but it is something different and why not. I am so psyched you have no idea, but sorry for the thread jack I am about to start a build thread in the 04+ section. I am just starting my research as far as motor options go so i'm going to do lots of searching and try to learn up on everything. Any suggestions would be helpful though guys!

Arent the navigator engines 4v's? What's the difference between them if so? You could always go find a wrecked navi and pull the motor and just completely build it for probably cheap. I also forgot to mention that I am going to be doing a custom twin turbo setup on this truck. We just got done fabricating a custom kit for an 04 mach 1 i'll post up some pics and specs in my thread. I'm going to do twin t57's
Sounds really sweet, but just to put a bug in your ear, there are a quite a few flat black trucks here in GA. At night they look OK, but during the day they kind of just look silly. A buddy of mine just did his 02 crew in a simi-gloss black and it looks 3x better. Looks more sinister. Just something to think about.....

As far as my blower choice, I have a several reasons why I'm choosing the TVS.

-It's OEM quality. It's the blower used on the new ZR1 Vette, and it utilizes the factory gaskets and fits like it came as standard equipment. It's also the blower on the Ford Racing Cobra Jet Mustang Drag car.

-It is capable of making over 700 rwhp on a GT500. That calculates to about 800 fwhp. As I've said, this is my daily driver and I'm still going to use it as a truck, towing and hauling, so reliability is one of requirements. A Whipple 2.9, 3.4, and a Kenne Bell are all capable of making more hp than the TVS, but at what cost? Can I still use straight pump gas? Is it streetable? If I was building a truck for the track, yes, the big Whipple or the Kenne Bell Mammoth would be the way to go, but for me, the TVS suits my needs.
If you plan on making near that power, which is goin to be maxed out and making a crapload of heat and your not going to do that with pump gas, it's not going to happen with a TVS your truck. The 3.4 might be a little to big because it is a race blower and 22psi. was the least amount of boost we could get from it. Your a lot better off with the larger KB.

Sorry, I was mistaken. It's a 3.375" and a 3".

My car made 658rwhp and 642rwtq at 17psi on a TVS with pump gas. Could've made more but the pumps were maxed out. Working on that problem now. Fortunately, pumps are not going to be an issue with the truck. Got a new triple hat kit coming from Troyer.

Tripple hat kit....? Details!

It may have been answered but how much HP did you make with the 3" pulley? Also, how much would you want for that pulley?

some reason I was thinking you wanted to make in the neighborhood of 700 with the truck. I've had a few 2.3s in my shop and at 7-750 CRANK hp is about out of it's efficiency zone. I have 2 cobras (white & black) in my shop now, one at 609 and the other 597 at over 20psi. I'm a firm believer in overkill and if your expecting that heavy truck to make that and be efficient, I'm just trying to warn you it isn't going to happen. But if you want to be maxed out with no room to grow, then go ahead. I've done quite a few coulda-woulda-shouldas and don't want to see a good fellow ford guy do the same.

We just made a pull on my mustang on my 93oct tune with a BigStff3. She made 645hp and little over 730tq with a 76mm turbo on 10psi. with 16 degrees of timing with the torque converter unlocked. And I wouldn't dare push that any further on 93. She ran a 5.8 & 5.9 @ over 114 in the 1/8. and I'm going to back off the boost 1.5-2lbs.

You do realize that we are talking about a GT500 5.4 engine right?
