That's a good one. I agree with you.

Don't forget about the thinning gray hair, the socks and sandals, and the mid life crisis

to each his own but why do you guys get on an f150 site and bash fords / mustangs talking about the vettes and camaros?

Actually a base model Corvette, with typical options, is much cheaper than a fully loaded GT500. Of course, the the Chevy has a $4000 rebate and the Ford offers no incentives. Wonder why that is.

A lot more relevant than the last two pages of polesmoking, Vette/Camaro posts.

Your buddy is going to surprise a LOT of people with that setup.

What's funny is this: Given Ford's Modular ar****ecture and GM LSx ar****ecture, take both to the extreme limits of what either is currently capable of without limit of displacement or usage of power-adders, and there is NO LSx based engine that has equaled the power or speed of the fastest Mod powered vehicle. Pro-5.0 powered cars running 2500+ hp 5.4L based engines (with a considerable amount of OEM hardware) whereas GM needed to cast a whole new engine block specifically to meet that level of power.

It's going to be real interesting when the new large-bore Mods starting hitting the tracks.

there's a block out that offers 5.8 liters from a stock 5.4 crank, that with a paschal stroker and the gt500 heads and supercahrger assembly would make this truck even more powerful

mcdover, you get the fuel system figured out yet??

Everything's figured out, just waiting on some backordered parts. In the meantime, I'm looking at a brake upgrade. I've got a pretty good deal on some takeoff Brembo's off of another GT500, just got to decide on what rotors to go with.

Hey! Don't bash thinning grey hair! I got that! I don't have the socks, sandals, or the midlife crisis. Nor the gold chains, mullet. What I have is a supercharged, troyer tuned f150 that makes me real happy Would love to have a GT500. Could care less about a 'vette. Every 'vette owner I have known was either a dork or an overweight, middle aged blonde chick Sorry I got carried away. mcdover, I love your project. It is what hot rodding is all about.

It may not beat a vette, Mustang or other sports cars but I bet it spanks the hell out of other trucks. Very nice. I watched the vids and now I have to go clean up. lol
