Turbo kit for 4.6?

Is there a turbo kit out there for the 4.6's? If not then what all would I need?

They used this setup on that episode of "Trucks" on that red Lightning. That's where I got the idea. How much do these usually run for?

buy or build some headers, flip them so they are facing forward, cut off the collectors add vbands run the pipes into a Y pipe to the turbo then run the pipe from turbo to intercooler then back up to throttle body and dont forget to run the exhaust side out to ur high flow cat (or not cat) and muffler!

theres a hell of a lot more to it then that but u get the idea

If I ever get around to adding a turbo, I'd want it like the STS setup. Hopefully when I get out of college, I'll have enough time and money for this sort of thing.

why would you want a remote mount setup instead of a traditional underhood setup?

sts is good, just asking....

Less heat and clutter under the hood. I don't ever go off roading, so nothing should jump up and tear it out.

Whats the matter with too much pipe? Does it cause too much turbo lag?

NO

no lag at all...

its just a lot more pipe than i want.

ur engine bay in the new body style is so big i doubt u'd see clutter..

as far as heat goes... doubt that'd be an issue too.. just if im going to spend 5-6k its going to be underhood. i dont trust those oil return pumps...

no theres not...

most people with turbocharged f150's or lightnings have made their own turbo setups.

i understand a kit is the easiest way to go... but if i were turbocharging for the first time my truck would have been taken to PSI motorsports or Fastlane (both located in tx) and a kit would have been built.

people take their cars/trucks to these 2 shops from all over the U.S.
