I struck gold on a salvaged supercharger! Now what?

Hey guys, i'm new to the forum. I have a 1998 lariat with a 4.6v8 with only 20k miles on it! My cousin found a salvaged eaton twin-screw supercharger for a 4.6 ford motor for only $200! The guy says its mint and inspected. It comes with the pully but no belts. My question is, what else should i buy/replace with to prolong the life of my motor and compliment my new supercharger? Can the stock tranny handle the extra power? What are the costs of the extra stuff like fuel rails and stuff? Thanks guys.

i dont think you can mount a supercharger to the sohc 4.6

i know you can on the dohc 4.6 though. dont quote me on it, let the guys who know what they are talking about confirm it.

Eaton blower is a roots blower!
If it's for a 4.6 it must of come off a Mustang.

The only eaton blower for the mustang was designed for the DOHC 4.6. So you can't use it without getting custom adapter plates made.

Allen engineering made a 4.6 set up for the 4.6 truck, but it used the Eaton M-90, not the larger M -112??. I believe they have gone out of business.
You need to know which blower you have to start looking around .

custom intake would do the trick; doesn't need to be very complicated. For $200, if you got the M-112, the cost of a custom fabed intake to mount it on would still be a deal.

plus the innercooler stuff, and the intake tubing issues and throttle cable issues

talk to mike dunn about building you a 4.6 intake that will accept the lighting supercharger that way it's all designed for an F-150

Mike Dunn would have to custom make you an intake manifold, he'd have to machine it from scratch.
