Magnacharger Whine

Anybody else with a Magnacharger notice if it has gotten louder? I have had mine on for 1 year now and in the past month it seems like the whine at idle and around town is quite a bit louder. I am still seeing 6lbs. of boost at WOT and don't seem to have any problems but it is definatly louder. Anyone else experiencing this???

That is what mine sounds like too. I have to admit I like it, but wow, it is so much louder than when I put it on that I was getting worried I had something wrong.

I had to get it custom tuned, the tune that came with it leaned me out at start up so bad it would barely run until it came out of high idle. I would have to restart it about three times every morning and then it would run fine the rest of the day. I had it dynoed and if I remember right I put down 330/400 to the wheels. Long Tubes and smaller pulley are on the way and back to the shop in about the next two weeks, the pacesetters are on backorder from summit right now.

We are shooting for 8-9lbs of boost, I don't think I want to push it more than that and the shop that tuned it is ordering the pulley, I think he gets them from Pulley boys. I need to get back in and have him massage this damn thing again, I am having start up problems again, it is starved for fuel on start up and light cruising it is sputtering as well, WOT, my A/F ratio is clear down to 10.8-11.0 so I have no idea what is going on now??? It seems like if I had a plugged fuel filter I would lean out at WOT, any ideas?

when you say starving for fuel does the truck buck? I don't think its the A/F, my truck bucks like its almost bogging down, but that is due to the TQ convertor locking and unlocking. which i plan to get fixed!

Maybe that is what it is, it does feel like it is bogging a little under light throttle, but my A/F gauge shows i am lean which made me think I am not getting enough fuel. I thought I had all this fixed last time I had it tuned. Oh well, I am sure it nothing a butt load of money can't fix.
