Roush Supercharger Kit PCM question

Hi all, im new to the forum.

I just got the roush intercooled kit installed on my 07 f150 yesterday and was interested in re-flashing the pcm with a different setup. However, i was told that roush "locks" out the pcm from re-flashing. When i hooked up the vehicle to a sct tuner it does not read the current calibration. Is there any way around this. (i want to load the roush cal onto the sct to be able to put it back on in case i run into an issue later on)

Thanks in advance.

You need to get it flashed by Roush first. Then you can take a tuner, read the code, and have it modified. I've done it twice to mine with my X Cal 2.

I think what he means is,,,you have to get Roush to unlock it!

Or you could buy a new computer and swap them back and forth,,,but that would be expensive. lol
I know I paid close to 600 for a new Lightning computer.

You would probably have to get it from Ford. God only knows how much they'll want for one.
Or one of the OE ford parts places on line.

Troyer will send you a Xcal to copy the roush tune then he will build you a custom tune that will allow you to store the roush tune to your xcal3 and you can switch. Once roush flashes the pcm you can not read the strategy code but the original xcal can copy the file which is what troyer will need so just like Matt said give troyer a call
