Custom Fabbed Procharger Intake Tube

If a guy (me) was to fab an Intake tube for a Procharger, what size tubing would be optimum? 3.5" or 4" The Intake is 3.5" OD on the charger so I was think'n 3.5. 4.0" would have to be necked down at the charger and mass air.

Some opinions are greatly appreciated!

3.5" or 4.0" really won't matter. Be more concerned with transitions and keeping the radiuses as wide and smooth as possible. If you can make a seamless 3.5" tube that'll go a lot further than a bunch of 4" tubes and elbows. My setup based on Mad's intake tube.

When I had my t-trim on my fast car I think the piping was 4.5-5 inches. Bigger is better. I would also try to get a 12 inch or bigger filter on the end of it also. I used to run a 16 inch filter.

Friend ran a Vortech T-trim on his Mustang...600+ at the wheels and sucking air through the exact model filter shown on my setup. Don't need a huge filter at all. Same applies to the tubing. You can supply all the air your engine could possibly use with 3.5" tubing as long as it's smooth.

The most boost that I would even consider is 12lb's, maybe 15 if I were to build a motor. Right now it's only 9lb's

What size is the mad intake...looks bigger than 3.5! Course it could be the picture.

It's I.D. can only as large as the mounting rim of the Procharger. According to spec the P1-SC's inlet hose diameter is 3.75"

With a strong clamp 4" can easily be squeezed down to 3.75".

Well...ordered the tubing (4"). Guess I'll give it a shot. Got an assortment of 20 bends off Ebay....surely I won't mess up that much! I wish it were aluminum instead of aluminized steel but I can just paint it.

I'll post progress or at least the finished product.

Thanks for the responses
